This Sunday we are excited to host Shop Small Soiree featuring an additional 60 shopping vendors popping up in the Ice Cream Alley area, all in addition to our lineup of food and shopping vendors. DJ Diego Fuego and friends will be holding down the turntables and setting the musical vibes all day. The weather forecast shows beautiful skies, so grab your friends, and get ready to eat, dance, and shop till you drop!

The wildfires have deeply affected many of our staff, vendors, neighbors, friends, and loved ones. At Smorgasburg, we remain committed to supporting those in need during this challenging time. To help, we’ll be holding a fundraiser this Sunday to address the various needs of our community, with a special focus on supporting those impacted through each vendor. 

This means you're not only able to support the larger relief funds, but also help individual vendors assist their families, friends, and loved ones impacted from the fires. In addition, all profits from bar sales this Sunday will go directly to @wckitchen and @americanredcross.

If you’ve been catching our stories, you’ll see that many of our vendors past and present, extended vendors, and partners have been on the frontlines, helping in meaningful ways that you can also support. 

It's not the ideal Grand Reopening we hoped for, but we hope to find solace in gathering to amplify these efforts and celebrate the incredible spirit of Los Angeles by doing what we do best-- sharing the love of food and community.

We've been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast for this weekend, and unfortunately, the outlook isn't promising. With a high of over 100 degrees projected for Sunday and the weather service extending the excessive heat warning through Monday night, we're facing some significant challenges.

In light of these conditions, we want to prioritize everyone's safety and have to cancel this Sunday’s Smorgasburg event. We understand this is disappointing, but our vendors, staff, and attendee's well-being is our top concern.

It's been 100 years since '16-year-old Lionel Sternberger first put cheese on a hamburger and served it to a customer,' as a plaque on the former site of The Rite Spot roadside stand in Pasadena proclaims.

LAist is teaming up with Smorgasburg LA to celebrate this anniversary with a Tournament of Cheeseburgers event to highlight the independent operations and communities that make SoCal's burger culture unique.

Join us at the ROW DTLA on Sunday, July 7 as we celebrate the near-universal popularity of cheeseburgers with live entertainment and LAist talent, family-friendly activities, a dynamic range of Smorgasburg LA vendors, and, of course - cheeseburgers. The mission of Art Share L.A. is to create equitable access to and inclusive opportunities for artists in the Los Angeles community. We work to eliminate the complex systems of privilege and power embedded in the art world which limit many Black, Indigenous, People of Color, disabled, LGBTQt, low-income, and other historically marginalized communities from finding success in the creative economy.

Smorgasburg operates the largest open air food markets in the country, with locations in New York, Los Angeles, Jersey City, Sao Paulo, and most recently Miami and Toronto. Smorgasburg L.A. provides a platform for nearly 100 small businesses curated from the next wave of SoCal's food, beverage and shopping scene.

The Manic Pixie Dream Market was first created as a vending and shopping oasis for the queer community.

Markets feature food courts, tattoo and other body modification rooms, vintage and handmade items, community resources, fundraisers and so much more.
