DATA SHARING VIA DOMO

We have made data sharing a requirement of participation in Smorgasburg. With a platform called Domo we are automating that data sharing so we can build a picture of the health, trends, and possibilities/opportunities for our markets, now and in future seasons, without having to continually ask for sales reports. It’s also a requirement of the huge Apple Pay giveaways we’re doing that transaction trends are tracked. You may opt-out only by discontinuing participation in the markets. 

Linking your Square data to the Domo platform (using this link) gives us a customized market-wide snapshot of sales, payment type, etc. It’s a very simple process for you: just enter your Square email and password one time. If you have multiple “locations” you use Square for, make sure you have one labeled e.g. Smorgasburg so we know which is relevant to us when your data connects and can filter out anything else.

NOTE: When we see your data, we do see all sales, discounts, transaction types, item lists and so on but we do not have any access to manipulate your inputs to your Square account, nor can we see your bank details or any truly sensitive information held in Square, which are security features Square already has. By using the link you are connecting Square data to Domo without actually sharing your login info with us or having it saved elsewhere, giving us all an added layer of privacy and hopefully comfort with the process.

Should you leave the market or we change the process in the future, you need only change your Square password to disconnect from the data center we’ve set up.
